CHANGING AN IMPROPER FRACTION TO A MIXED NUMBER
A. To change an improper fraction to a mixed number:

Divide the denominator into the numerator possible.
(2) Reduce the remaining fraction to its lowest terms.
Example:

3/2 => 3 : 2 =>1 and 1/2 => 1 1/2
CHANGING MIXED NUMBERS TO IMPROPER FRACTIONS

To change a mixed number to an improper fraction:

Multiply the denominator by the whole number

Then add the numerator to this amount.

This product will become the new numerator and the denominator will
remain the same. For example:
